The Youth Summit: From Ideas to Impact
This isn’t your typical event. We’re mixing things up with epic brainstorming sessions, hands-on workshops, and real conversations between youth leaders, activists, and top changemakers. Day One kicks off with inspiring speeches and face-to-face talks with elected leaders from Renew Europe and youth groups. The afternoon dives into breakout workshops tackling what matters most: Europe's opportunities and the toughest social challenges.
On Day Two, we get practical - learn how to push back against hate and fake news, sharpen your debating skills, and discover how to spread digital positivity. You’ll train with experts, create powerful counter-narratives, and help design game plans to protect Europe’s core values. The best part: We’re not just talking - we’ll build a clear, doable action plan for real results this year.
How We Got Here—Your Voices Lead the Way
Our journey started way before this Summit! After COVID hit hard, messing with young people’s education, jobs, and even mental health, Renew Europe stepped up during the European Year of Youth in 2022. Since then, our promise to put young people in the spotlight has become a continuous commitment. Our goal is clear: not simply to talk about young people, but to build with them.
We hosted our first Youth Meetup in Brussels, bringing together more than 500 people from 39 countries to discuss contemporary challenges and collaboratively develop concrete political solutions. These recommendations, stemming directly from the grassroots, served as a solid foundation for the development of our reference document: the Renew Youth Manifesto.
Your Manifesto: A Roadmap for Change
The Renew Youth Manifesto isn’t just words; it’s a game plan built totally with input from young Europeans. It lays out what we stand for and how YOU can be part of shaping the European Union’s future. Here are the main goals:
Make Your Voice Count: The Manifesto wants every young person at the center of EU policy. We’re fighting for a “Youth Test” - a panel of young voices with real power to review new laws before they’re adopted. That means the issues you care about will help shape tomorrow’s Europe.
Prioritize Well-being & Safety: Mental health should matter just as much as physical health! We demand tough rules to block hate and online bullying, especially against young women and minorities. Everyone deserves to feel safe, in real life and online.
Boost Independence & Identity: Can’t find affordable housing? We hear you! The Manifesto pushes for special programs via the European Social Fund Plus, helping young people (especially NEETs - not in employment, education, or training) get homes and new skills. Plus, we want all schools to teach what the European Union is really about, so every young person can join in and create change.
