The event aims to discuss the scope and objectives of the new EU human rights sanctions regime, as well as the challenges, constraints and the prospects of this future EU foreign policy tool. Speakers will also address the lessons learned from the use of previous EU sanctions regimes and the use by other countries of human rights sanctions.
