With long standing security issues, Eastern Africa continues to face multiple challenges that continue to constrain the sustainable and peaceful development of the region. Within the scope of the EU-East African relations, it is paramount to address the future. The speakers will be discuss the standing challenges and roadblocks which need to be addressed to reach a more stable and prosperous future for the region. Reaching from the geopolitical dimension such as trade and security interests of foreign parties, to the role of local and regional factors such as food security, corruption, good governance and terrorism
