Renew Europe welcomes Pina Picierno to the Group
The Renew Europe Group in the European Parliament today welcomed Italian MEP and Vice-President of the European Parliament Pina Picierno as its newest member.
A leading pro-European voice in Italy and across Europe, Pina Picierno has served as a Member of the European Parliament since 2014 and as Vice-President of the European Parliament since 2022. Throughout her political career, she has been a strong advocate for democracy, the rule of law, women's rights and unwavering support for Ukraine.
At a time when democratic values are under pressure both within and beyond Europe's borders, her decision to join Renew Europe reinforces the Group's commitment to defending liberal democracy, strengthening the rule of law and standing firmly against authoritarianism and political extremism.
