Renew Europe is united in terms of support to development and roll out of vaccines that have safely reduced the scourge of many life-threatening diseases globally.
Despite the great progress achieved in the last decades, insufficient access to vaccines is still today a problem for millions of people across the world, including 20 million children. Strengthening local vaccine production, storage facilities and delivery systems in recipient countries must continue being a priority for the international community, including the EU.
This Renew Europe event aims to debate and discuss on:
- The current challenges and opportunities in the promotion of the use of vaccines worldwide.
- The need to address the uneven global vaccination against COVID-19 and continue focusing this global effort.
- How to address the impacts of the pandemic on other vaccination campaigns and illnesses treatments, such as the first available malaria vaccine, tuberculosis or HIV/AIDS.
