The event combines a broad reflection on the European Union after 2024 – facing the challenges of adapting its functioning to respond to economic, security and enlargement priorities – with a discussion on the implementation of the Simone Veil Pact at local and regional level. To this purpose, we have established a collaboration with the Renew Europe group at the Committee of the Regions, which will be represented by two speakers. The involvement of the Renew group in the CoR allows us to address the organizational aspect of the women's network with territorial perspective. We will thus take stock of the implementation status of the Simone Veil Pact and what has still to be done in view of the European elections. This latest debate will address sexual and reproductive rights, women's participation in the labour market and women's representation in politics. In this panel, we will open a frank exchange of views between MEPs, CoR representatives and the audience to define the roadmap for establishing a Renew Europe Women Network to act as a pillar in support of women across Europe.
