Documentary “People of the Color of Freedom” is about the non-violent resistance of the Ukrainian people to Russian aggression in the temporarily occupied territories, and their struggle for freedom since 2014 till nowadays.
The film tells the stories of people who resisted in Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk, Novoazovsk, Melitopol and Kherson, as well as the stories of activists from non-violent resistance movements such as “Yellow Ribbon” and “Zla Mavka,” and the testimonies of those who still live in occupied cities but find the courage to paint yellow-blue flags, hang ribbons, distribute posters with Ukrainian symbols, preserve Ukrainian traditions and even teach the Ukrainian language to others. This film proves that there are still people in the occupied territories who remind the occupiers every day that they are on Ukrainian soil.
