Political Statement of the EP Group leaders on rejection of Anti-Semitism in Government Coalitions

The resurgence of anti-Semitic rhetoric and actions across parts of Europe poses a serious threat to Jewish communities and to the fabric of our diverse societies. Permitting such forces into government contradicts Europe’s history of striving toward peace and tolerance. We cannot afford to repeat past mistakes.

Therefore we urge the Social Democratic Party of Lithuania and the party Union of Democrats "For Lithuania" to immediately eject the party "Dawn of Nemunas" from the newly formed coalition.
