Strategic Military Mobility. As the European Commission will unveil its Military Mobility Package next week, Renew Europe is asserting its leadership on a dossier it considers essential to Europe's security. Security first: stronger roads, rails and bridges means a stronger Europe. On Monday 24 November, the own-initiative report ‘Action Plan on Military Mobility’, for which Renew is co-rapporteur, will be voted in committee. Renew Europe is positioning itself as the driving force behind the military infrastructure needed to defend Europe and support Ukraine. Military mobility has become crucial in the face of Russia's war of aggression. We are pushing for a "military Schengen. Significantly, Renew insists on including European preference among the priorities, strengthening EU-NATO cooperation with strict border-crossing timelines, and deepening partnerships with Ukraine, Moldova and the Western Balkans. The message is clear: Europe must build the infrastructure and strategic autonomy necessary to guarantee its own security.

Renew Europe calls for bold reforms to protect EU citizens and ensure fair use of EU funds. In the initiative report voted in a joint committee meeting on Thursday on the rule of law conditionality regime, Renew Europe secures firm wording and calls for ambitious reforms to guarantee that the EU’s Conditionality Regulation is applied rigorously, fairly, and transparently across all Member States. Our priority is clear: EU funds must always serve citizens' interests. We warn against any attempt to manipulate this mechanism for political gain and urge for stronger democratic oversight to ensure accountability and trust. Renew Europe stands for a fair, transparent, and citizen-focused budget where every euro is spent in line with the EU's shared values and the rule of law.

Renew Europe Reconstruction Talks: Civil Society's Role in Ukraine. Renew Europe is hosting a discussion on civil society's contribution to Ukraine's security and post-war recovery. The event will spotlight leading Ukrainian and EU NGOs whose work has proven essential to Ukraine's defence and reconstruction efforts:
Superhumans Trauma Centre provides prosthetics, reconstructive surgery, rehabilitation, and psychological support for war-affected military personnel and civilians since 2022.
Save Ukraine has successfully repatriated 980 Ukrainian children abducted by Russia from occupied territories.
Come Back Alive, Ukraine's largest charitable foundation, raised €495 million in 2024 alone and secured authorisation to purchase lethal weapons for Ukrainian Armed Forces.
This event should be the occasion to recognise civil society's critical role, learn from their experiences, and explore collaborative pathways toward Ukraine's victory and a secure, united Europe.
