Soils provide important ecosystem services, they are crucial for food production and are key enablers in achieving climate, biodiversity and other objectives of the European Green Deal.

The effective protection of soils is crucial to addressing land degradation and erosion, while preserving, protecting and improving the quality of the environment, the livelihood of farmers and rural communities, human health and natural resources.

This Renew Europe webinar will address the role of soil and its contribution to the European Green Deal together with representatives from the European Environmental Agency, academia, farmers’ organisation, businesses and international initiatives in the field.
